In the area of Environmental Education we connect knowledge and practice for a conscious relationship with the environment.
Our Environmental Education work creates a learning network that brings together different generations. Through the Centre for Ecosystem Restoration Studies (NERE), we train technicians and professionals to support the restoration of degraded areas. Through the Terrinhas and Terra Jovens programmes, we inspire children and young people to develop a sense of belonging and care for the environment in which they live.
More than teaching about nature, we seek to inspire new ways of living with it.
In this way, we strengthen communities and prepare future generations to be protagonists of socio-environmental transformation.
Our Environmental Education work is supported by the German-Brazilian Cooperation through KfW and the Z Zurich Foundation as Master Sponsors.
Created in 2005, NERE offers post-technical training for young people who wish to work in ecosystem restoration. Over 11 months of theory and practice, we train young people to enter the environmental job market.
