From Tuesday to Sunday, from 8am to 11am and from 1pm to 4pm. Appointments or tickets are required for all types of visits.
What can I expect?
You will have the opportunity to visit the Ornamental Plants Garden, designed by Lélia Wanick Salgado, and the exciting Exodus Exhibition by Sebastião Salgado. You’ll also be able to take a closer look at the recovering biodiversity and see how the landscape has changed over the years.

How to get there
Instituto Terra is located in Aimorés, Minas Gerais.
Transportation options:
- Car: Use map applications (Google Maps or Waze) and search for Instituto Terra, Aimorés – MG.
- Train: There is the option of taking the Vitória-Minas Railroad, which passes through Aimorés.
- Bus: Bus companies operate routes to Aimorés from various cities.
Our headquarters are 2.5 km from the train station and bus station in Aimorés/MG.
Tips for visitors
Dress comfortably: the climate in the region is usually hot. Wear a cap or hat, pants, closed shoes, sunscreen and insect repellent.
Respect nature: avoid going near lakes and animals to ensure your safety and preserve the ecosystem.
Stay hydrated: bring your water bottle and reapply sunscreen during your visit.

To ensure that everyone has the best experience at Instituto Terra and that the space is preserved, follow these guidelines:
Access and circulation
Bicycles, skates, skateboards or other sports equipment are not allowed.
Avoid bringing toys or musical instruments that could interfere with the visitors’ experience.
During your visit, respect the environment and other people, avoiding excessive noise.
Contact with nature
Don’t feed the animals you meet. They live in balance with the environment and do not need human interference.
Keep your distance from the species that inhabit our headquarters – they are wild animals and can react unexpectedly if they feel threatened.
Avoid going near lakes and watercourses, respecting the demarcated areas.
Food and drink
You are allowed to bring your own snacks, but only consume them in the places indicated.
You are not allowed to use barbecues, stoves or electrical equipment to prepare food, nor are you allowed to use coolers, large containers, chairs or tables.
Instituto Terra is not responsible for food and drink purchased outside its premises.
Photography and filming
Photography and filming are permitted for personal use, provided they respect the space and other visitors.
In the exhibition areas and internal spaces, the use of flash, tripods or drones is not permitted.
For professional photo shoots or filming (such as weddings, debutantes, pregnant women and institutional shoots), prior scheduling and authorization by the team is required.
