São 20 vagas voltadas para capacitação gratuita de jovens formados pelas escolas agrotécnicas da região do Vale do Rio Doce
Jovens recém-formados em cursos técnicos nas áreas Agrícola, Ambiental, Florestal e em Agropecuária que estiverem dispostos a atuar com o reflorestamento de áreas degradadas de Mata Atlântica e na proteção de nascentes tem a oportunidade de aprender mais sobre as técnicas disponíveis a partir do curso “Aperfeiçoamento Profissional em Restauração Ecossistêmica”, oferecido gratuitamente pelo Instituto Terra. As inscrições prévias para o processo seletivo para a turma 2019 podem ser feitas até o dia 13 de dezembro.
Ofertado pelo Instituto Terra desde 2005, o curso já capacitou 161 técnicos e pretende abrir 20 vagas para o próximo ano – a confirmação do início das aulas dependerá dos recursos obtidos junto a financiadores. A capacitação é coordenada pelo Núcleo de Estudos em Restauração Ecossistêmica- NERE, que funciona na própria RPPN Fazenda Bulcão, sede do Instituto Terra em Aimorés-MG.
Os estudantes selecionados entre os formados pelas escolas agrotécnicas e família agrícola da região do Vale do Rio Doce passam a residir nas dependências do Instituto Terra durante o período da capacitação – de fevereiro a dezembro -, tendo a RPPN como campo de atividades práticas. As aulas seguem carga horária flexível e calendário próprio, de forma que os alunos possam vivenciar pelo menos um período de plantio no Instituto Terra.
O NERE é uma verdadeira escola de práticas para reconstrução ambiental que permite a esses jovens se relacionarem diretamente com os pequenos produtores rurais, a partir dos projetos desenvolvidos pelo Instituto Terra, ajudando a disseminar conhecimento sobre práticas agro-ecológicas de produção, reflorestamento de Áreas de Proteção Permanente e de Reservas Legais, bem como derevitalização de nascentes.
Os estudantes selecionados também participam de várias iniciativas envolvendo atividades de educação ambiental junto às comunidades do entorno da sede da ONG ambiental. São jovens oriundos em sua maioria de famílias rurais, e com perspectiva de atuação na própria região do Vale do Rio Doce, em suas cidades de origem, no segmento de empregos ‘verdes’. “Neste sentido, o curso é também um importante meio para compartilhar com a sociedade o conhecimento adquirido pela ONG na restauração ambiental de uma região de Mata Atlântica que está entre as mais degradadas do País”,confirma Gladys Nunes, analista de Educação do Instituto Terra e coordenadora do NERE.
“Estamos sempre em busca de novas parcerias para permitir a continuidade na oferta anual dessa capacitação e empresas ou pessoas físicas que queiram contribuir são muito bem-vindas”, destaca Isabella Salton, diretora Executiva do Instituto Terra, lembrando que a capacitação já recebeu premiações, como em 2008 o Prêmio Ford Motor Company de Conservação Ambiental, na categoria Ciência e Formação de Recursos Humanos, pelo envolvimento com a comunidade e, sobretudo, pela proposta responsável de tornar o conhecimento científico acessível a pessoas do campo.
No ano de 2017 e 2018, o curso recebeu patrocínio da Fundação Renova, dentro da perspectiva de atuação desses jovens nos projetos de recuperação florestal em curso no Vale do Rio Doce após o desastre de Mariana.Natura, CST (ArcelorMittal Tubarão), Governo do Principado das Astúrias (da Espanha), CSN, Fundação Aperan e Fundação Roberto Marinho são alguns dos outros parceiros que já patrocinaram o curso em anos anteriores.
